Church Demolition

Not only was I a member of St. Cecilia Parish for a number of years, I was married to my first husband here.   As a child I was fascinated by the mural behind the altar, which was destroyed in the fire.  I also loved the Art Deco Jesus on the front of the church, and was very disappointed to learn that it could not be saved when the demolition began.  This website has a slideshow of the demolition.  (There is also a historical slideshow of Oak Cliff at this site).
